La fille de Béatrice et Henri partagea son ascendance en partie roturière avec le consanguin roi Alphonse XIII permettant ainsi une dilution du sang Bourbon.

Les prénoms de l’enfant, Louis Arthur Charles, sont annoncés le 27 avril, quatre jours après sa naissance. Le prénom Louis fait référence à Lord Louis Mountbatten, grand-oncle paternel du prince de Galles et dernier vice-roi des Indes, mort assassiné par l’IRA provisoire.
